- How do I hire the choir to do a show for us?
Please call Linda Hines, at 817-229-8251 - How far do you travel to give a concert?
We normally travel within the Greater Ft. Worth area. If you live outside this area and want us to sing for your group please contact the director and we will see what can be worked out. - Is the Gold Tone Show Choir from a church?
No. We are not affilliated with any church and we do very few religious songs. - What is a show choir?
A show choir sings mostly secular songs such as Broadway tunes and can have some choreography. - Do you charge a performance fee?
Our requested donation for performances varies with the needs of the client. We strive to accomodate many diverse situations. Please contact us to discuss your specific event. - Do you ever give free concerts?
Yes. We give one free concert every quarter to groups that are on very restricted budgets like senior citizen community centers. If you qualify and are interested please contact the director and get on our waiting list. - How may I join the choir?
Come to a rehearsal at Westminster Presbyterian, 7001 Trail Lake Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76133 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am Tuesdays, September - June and audition. We have a great time and would love to have you sing with us. - Do I have to sing in front of the choir to audition?
No. You will sing for the director at the end of the rehearsal and it is quite painless and private. - Do I have to have a solo prepared to audition?
No. The director will guide you through some scales to ascertain your range and abilities. - My voice does not sound like it used to but I love to sing. Can I still audition?
None of our voices are what they once were. However, you will be surprised how quickly it will improve when you sing regularly and properly. - What is the average age of the Gold Tones?
We range in ages 50 - 83. The average age is probably mid 70's. We do not care if you are 103, if you can sing and get to performances and rehearsals.
